  • Tawnie Bailey
    Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Tawnie Bailey grew up in Seattle and knew from a young age that she would either work at a grocery store, where all the chocolate lived, or become a veterinarian. Despite her chocolate addictions, she chose veterinary medicine and began volunteering at a vet clinic in 1986. She remained at the clinic until she graduated from high school and moved to Pullman to pursue her dreams. In 1996, she graduated with her B.S. in Zoology and married Jeff Bailey. After working at a Spokane Valley vet clinic for four years and attending more than three years of college at EWU, she finally received the coveted acceptance letter into WSU's veterinary school. Dr. Bailey has been practicing at Alpine Animal Hospital since graduating from vet school in 2004. She and her husband are constantly trying to entertain their two daughters and keep their dog comfy. They have loved four amazing golden retrievers, two cats, and more than three dozen foster kittens since joining Alpine.

  • Jim Duchow

Dr. Jim Duchow grew up in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Upon his graduation from Brookfield East High School, he continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After just three years, Dr. Duchow completed his undergraduate work. In order to achieve his goals of becoming a veterinarian, he decided to attend the veterinary school at UW-Madison immediately following his graduation.

  • DeAnna Orr

Dr. DeAnna Orr graduated from Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in 2012. She jointed Alpine Animal Hospitals team in 2017. She enjoys the human animal bond, continued improvement on pain control, and abdominal surgery. Dr. Orr resides in Coeur d'Alene with her daughter, dog, cat and axolotl. She adores her blended family of step sons and her husband Luke. In her limited free time Dr. Orr enjoys reading, hiking and helping out at her daughters school where she gets to help educate about animal care. Dr. Orr is very excited to be working in a practice that has the passion and standard of care that she has been searching for.

  • Jessica Outhet
    Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Growing up around snakes, lizards, ferrets, and horses, Dr. Jessica Outhet always knew she would be in a profession helping animals. Her heroes at that time were Steven Irwin and the Kratt Brothers from Zoboomafoo. During high school, she volunteered at Zoo Boise, which taught her a lot about educating the public; however, she wanted to make a more direct difference in animals’ lives. After completing her undergraduate degree in Biology at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, she went on to become a veterinary assistant in Boise for a year, which only solidified her choice in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. She graduated from WSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020.

Dr. Jessica Outhet was thrilled to join the team at Alpine Animal Hospital in 2020. Dr. Jessica has a special interest in integrative veterinary medicine and is working toward her certification in acupuncture with the Chi Institute in order to provide holistic care and treat each animal patient as an individual. In her spare time, she loves taking hikes with her dog, Brawny, cuddling with her 2 cats, traveling, snowboarding, boxing, meditating, reading, and watching football (go Cougs!)
